Download & Installation Please note: you must open download link using the browser you wish to download. If you want the Internet Explorer version, click the download link while using Internet Explorer. Same is true for Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer 1. Click the download link above 2. When prompted, click "Run" Toolbar will install automatically. Be sure to close ALL open windows & restart your browser or you will get an error saying program did not install properly. If you do receive an error, simply click "Program Installed Properly" then restart Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox 1. Click the download link above. 2. When prompted, click "Install Now" Toolbar will install automatically. You will be prompted to restart your browser. After doing so you can use the eBWiz.com eBay Toolbar. For help removing the toolbar, please see main menu Return To Top Updating To check for updates, click the small button marked with your current version number (vX.X) located just before the search box. When clicked, a small window will open & list any available updates, as well as provide links to download the update or to see what's new. Simply click the download link for your prefered browser & repeat the download process as when you first installed the toolbar. Updating may be done at your convience at anytime. However, keep the following in mind: Minor updates, such as 1 or 2 bad links or the addition of a new promotion site are indicated by an increase in the SECOND digit (v X.X) of the version number. These updates are considered less than critical. Major updates, such as complete change in eBay link structure or a new eBay feature are indicated by an increase in the FIRST digit (vX.X) of the version number. These updates are more critical and should be installed immediately. Hint - Once an update is released all download links are updated so you can download the update from the toolbar or from eBWiz.com. If you need help installing the new version, refer to the download & installation section of the user's guide. Return To Top Main Menu The main menu provides links to help & information relating to the toolbar. You can go directly to eBWiz.com by simply clicking the logo. If you click the down arrow, you will see links to this user's guide, terms of service & privacy policy, contact me for support, as well as a link to remove the toolbar. The "Remove Toolbar" link will uninstall the toolbar from your computer completely. You can also remove the toolbar from your computer's control panel by going to Control Panel --> Remove Programs --> eBWiz.com Toolbar Return To Top Searching The eBWiz.com eBay toolbar offers a wide range of search options. For a quick search of eBay by title, enter your terms into the search box & hit enter. Other options can be used by entering your terms, click the search button & click the desired search function. The search will happen automatically. There is also a link provided to the Advanced Search page of eBay.com in the event you wish to search using multiple search parameters at once. Hint - You can perform a basic search using the eBWiz.com eBay Toolbar then click "Advanced Search" on the eBay results page to keep your search term. Your search terms will be stored by the search box as a drop menu. There is also a auto complete feature which will automatically fill the search box based on the terms you used before. You may use any search parameters you wish such as quotation marks ("search phrase") to find items containing a certain phrase. A plus sign (search + term) to indicate you wish to see items containing both terms, but not neccessarily together as in a phrase. For more help & search tips, see my article Finding It On eBay - Search Engine Basics Return To Top Right Click Search **Internet Explorer Version Only** This is a handy tool when it comes to comparision shopping. When you find the name of an item you wish to shop for, highlight the term, right click & click "Find On eBay." This will do a search of all categories by title. The search results will open in a new window so you can hold your place on the original site. Return To Top Quick Keys For fast, one click access to important pages there are 4 "quick buttons" located just after the search button. The first (the globe) will take you to the eBay.com home page. The second (pen & paper) will allow you to sign in or out of eBay.com. The third (briefcase) is direct access to your MyeBay account home page. Finally the "PP" is a link to the PayPal.com home page. Return To Top Categories Browse - You will be taken to the eBay 'Hub" page for the category you select. The hub page lists all the sub-categories available. From there you can browse all items for sale in that category. What's Hot - Here you can see the most popular items in the selected category based on the number of watchers an item has along with a list of auctions ending soon & headline news relating to that category. Return To Top Buying Tools Here are a majority of the links you will use when buying on eBay. Many of these links are to pages located in your MyeBay account so you may be prompted to log into the eBay site. From time to time eBay will post a system message between logging in & reaching your MyeBay account. If you click a link on the toolbar and, after logging in to eBay receive one of these messages, you will directed to your MyeBay HOME PAGE by eBay. Simply re-click the desired link on the toolbar to be directed to that page. REMEMBER - Your login information is NOT monitored, recorded or stored by the eBWiz.com eBay Toolbar! Anytime you are prompted to login it is on an official page of the eBay website. Also included are links to track your item with the most common shipping companies using on eBay including USPS, UPS, FedEx & DHL. Contact the seller from which you made your purchase for tracking information. You will also find links to information on eBay Gift Certificates & official eBay gear. Return To Top Selling Tools Here are a majority of the links you will use when selling on eBay. Many of these links are to pages located in your MyeBay account so you may be prompted to log into the eBay site. From time to time eBay will post a system message between logging in & reaching your MyeBay account. If you click a link on the toolbar and, after logging in to eBay receive one of these messages, you will directed to your MyeBay HOME PAGE by eBay. Simply re-click the desired link on the toolbar to be directed to that page. REMEMBER - Your login information is NOT monitored, recorded or stored by the eBWiz.com eBay Toolbar! Anytime you are prompted to login it is on an official page of the eBay website. Also included are links to get shipping rates with the most common shipping companies using on eBay including USPS, UPS, FedEx & DHL. You can also find information on eBay's Powerseller & Trade Assistant programs. Free eBay Promotion - This is a list of websites that will advertise your auctions & eBay store for free. By clicking the link you will be directed to the site's home page. As new sites come online I will update this list to assist you in getting the maximum exposure for your items.
